Using the Bluetooth function of the Leica DISTO laser distance meter, multiple laser distance meters can be remotely controlled from a PC from a distance.

The continuous measurement function allows for the measurement of the distance change (displacement) to the target object while keeping the laser distance meter fixed. Data measured through remote control from a PC can be automatically imported into the PC. The measurement data imported into the PC can be output as an external file in CSV format, making it possible to use it in graphs and other applications such as Excel, Word, and CAD.

As seen in the example of the Great East Japan Earthquake, there is currently a focus on continuously monitoring the displacement of ground, slopes, buildings, structures, tunnels, roads, tracks, and other structures due to the effects of earthquakes and other influences, 24 hours a day. This system enables the measurement of the distance changes (displacement) to the target object by using a laser distance meter (Leica DISTO) in a fixed position with continuous measurement functionality! The measured data is automatically imported into a PC via remote control from the PC. Since the measurement data imported into the PC can be output as an external file in CSV format, it can be utilized for graphing and in other applications such as Excel, Word, and CAD. Additionally, it provides warnings through warning lights and buzzers when the set management values are exceeded.
